Defenders of Terebithia: Populating the World

Many of you remember the cancelled epic that was The Defenders of Terebithia and yes, the 2nd revival of the series is on its way ((with the 1st not even leaving the planning stages)). However I felt that my Super Hero world was lacking in colour and character. The player created heroes were good as was Dr Von Doctor to an extent however I found myself struggling to think of new and heroic super heroes as well as evil and deceptive villains to populate Terebithia. So I have created this thread in which every single post will be a new super hero. By this I mean there is a strict: Character Sheet only, rule. Any other comments/posts will be deleted and this will essentially become a database of superheroes, created by us for what was mine but is now OUR Superhero universe. Turn yourself into a hero, be completely original and design a random character out of the blue, do whatever you want!
Below is the basic template for each hero/villain and preferably I would like to see some artistic impression (ideas are included inside the description section).

Introduction to Terebithia
Terebithia is a kingdom hidden in the vast emptiness of a black hole so far away from Planet Earth its unfathomable that numbers could ever be given to calculate the distance. However despite this vast difference in location the two planets are fairly similar. There is however one minor difference, Terebithia is a world which follows the same paths as both the Marvel and DC Universes, Terebithia is a Planet of Superheroes. Of course with Super-heroes you get Super-villains and this RP follows the adventures of a group of new members to the role of Defender of Justice and their path as they learn not only about their powers but also about the minds of the Super Villains they fight against.

The Appearance of Super Powers
Super powers have existed since the first dawning of a magnificent scientifically unexplainable event. A random electromagnetic pulse vibrated and shocked the planet's core sending out extensive waves of bio-material energy which mutated hundreds of humans and many species of animals into powerful beings of unknown power. However as technology advanced the ability to recreate this energy was discovered and many scientists used this as well as technology to forge a new era of heroes, The Iron Warriors. The final way in which Super powers are obtained in the world of Terebithia is to be born under a certain star or planetary alignment, the arrangement of the planets deciding exactly which super power you get as well as your potency with its control. This random choice will either end up granting you with a power which has untold potential or could leave you as useless as a Magikarp.
In summary there are four ways in which you can obtain Super Powers

* Be one of the first, original heroes who was effected by the wave
* Be transformed using the wave duplicate machine
* Be born under a constellation also influenced by the wave and be born with powers
* Be the offspring of a female super heroine, men don't carry the super gene.

Super Hero Numbers
Terebithia, despite the apparent huge numbers of Super Heroes, relatively has an extremely small amount of heroes. Terebithia is currently in the the ultimate stage of Urbanisation, the Mechanical Age. Every inch of spare land is being converted into a metropolis hoping to eventually span the entire planet. The worlds countries are finding themselves fighting to keep their individuality and Super heroes found themselves fighting each other, as well as the Super Villains in the world.

Real Name: Sam Stevenson
Superhero Name: Mesmerio

Way in Which Power was Obtained: Be transformed using the wave duplicate machine
Power: "Domination and Mind Control" : The ability to alter the perceptions of others, and general ability to control the actions of others with the mind.

History: Sam was born a normal human in this world filled with heroes. Disheartened and distraught by his realisation that he would never be like them he made it his purpose in life to discover a way to become just like them. He grew up in the town of Luin and became educated to a high standard and admired not only the Super Heroes of the world but also the Super Villains. His first personal experience with the Super-Humans of the world came when his mother was killed by the monstrous Leonarious, a Lion who has experienced major genetic changes due to the original wave and had started a mad killing spree against the humans who he blamed for the incident. He witnessed Omega Man defeat Leonarious in battle as was astounded at the Hero's decision not to kill his foe. Years later Sam had grown in both maturity and overall intellect and sought out a way to become a hero, like the Almighty Omega Man, and eventually came across the insane Dr von Doctor, a scientist who had use a Wave Manipulation Machine in order to obtain a super power. He was gifted by his machine with a mix of two powers, rejuvenation and a more complex mind. Using his new powers he invented numerous biological weapons and sold them to the warring factions of the world. Sam tricked the Doctor into allowing him to become the Doctor's sidekick and upon using the machine was gifted with amazing mental powers. Using them Sam destroyed the mind of the Doctor, only temporarily however, and made him believe he was a five year old girl. After destroying the Doctor's equipment he left the scene and made his journey across the world to become the greatest Super Hero in the world. He acquired a costume and the nickname, Mesmerio, and begun his battles against both Dr von Doctor and Leonarious. The two sides in this battle have each won a similar number of confrontations with the deaths of many hanging over Mesmerio's head. However he plans to eventually prove himself to Omega Man, who despises Sam for his use of the machine, and acquire the hero's aid in defeating his two arch-enemies once and for all.

Description of Costume: Mesmerio is dressed in a skin tight green suit, similar to that of the Green Lantern from DC Comics, if you know who I am talking about. His logo on his chest is a purple brain inside two light green concentric rings. His mask is similar to that which could be described as worn at a Masquerade and is popular among actors and their ilk. When found outside of his Super-persona Sam dresses as a normal teenager would and tries to bring little attention to himself, not wanting others to suffer in case his secret identity is ever discovered.

Eye Colour: Green before granting of powers, now a mix of both green and purple in a similar shape to the yin-yang symbol.

Significant Other: Sam has no significant other due to his greatest fear of others suffering due to his Super-hero exploits. He wishes he could be with someone but knows that if anyone ever discovers his identity it would put them at great risk and it wasn't a situation he planned to put himself in until he knew he was invincible.

Public Knowledge of Identity: No one in existence knows of Mesmerio's real identity. Even Dr Doctor has forgotten.
Amount of Time since Power acquisition: Two Years
Morals and Ethics: Sam follows nearly every rule that a Super Hero should, he never kills, he stands for peace and justice, and fights for the essence of good itself. Sam has never even considered becoming a Super Villain due to his hatred of both Dr Doctor and Leonarious and follows the strict laws of the Super Hero act, never joining a side in the global combat for citywide domination.

Real Name: Albert Isenhower
Superhero Name: Dr von Doctor
Age: 33
Way in Which Power was Obtained: Be transformed using the wave duplicate machine
Power: Rejuvenation and improved Intelligence

History: Albert Isenhower was born hated by most of his neighbourhood. His father was a mad scientist who experimented on the corpses of Superheroes and would attempt to draw the energies which gave them powers from their corpses and use them to eventually enhance his own body. At the age of 3 Albert showed amazing progress in development and could speak in not only full sentences but work basic mathematics and arithmetic at a level expected of an 8 year old. At the age of 11 Albert helped his father perfect his power manipulation tool and turn his father into the super villain, Dominatrix, he who has all the powers. Albert was then abandoned in turn and was forced to care for himself as he grew older. At the age of 16 he graduated from university with a Masters in Mechanical and Power based Science and begun work on the Wave Duplicate Machine. His father was defeated by “The Defenders of Terebithia” as Albert reached 20 and this increased his hatred of, Super-humans. Eventually he was beaten to the creation of the machine by a Supervillain who had the power to build anything. Using trickery and deception Albert killed the villain and stole the machine technology, but failed to destroy all of the data discs meaning others were eventually able to access the information. Using the machine at the age of 22 Albert became the villainous Dr von Doctor. 9 Years later Dr von Doctor met a teenager called Sam Stevenson who asked to become his partner in crime. Realising an assistant could prove useful Dr von Doctor agreed and allowed Sam to use his machine. However this backfired as he found himself betrayed and mentally scarred by the boy and swore revenge, hoping to one day crush the life out of the little fool. At this moment in time Dr von Doctor is a Biological weapons genius and constructs weapons to sell to the armies in the world conflict and also to use against Mesmerio (Sam’s superhero name)

Description of Costume: Dr Von Doctor has big white hair similar to Albert Einstein and wears a white lab-tech coat. He rides around in a cylindrical pod similar to that which Dr Robotnik from Sonic the Hedgehog uses.

Real Name: Daniel Cooper

Alias: Deadshot

Age: 25

Way in Which Power was Obtained: Daniel, not being a superhero, does not have any 'powers' that range into unnatural. The only odd ability he possesses is he positively excellent aim with any kind of weapon, from sniper rifles to pistols to bows. This was obtained and honed by Daniel's quick rise through the ranks of the military - as a sniper, no less. Leaving the military in an unconventional way, Daniel dug into the profitable business of hired assassinations, his skills only becoming more reputable as the name 'Deadshot' spread throughout Terebithia's underworld.

Power: Excellent aim with any and all weapons.

History: Daniel was born into a family with a superhero father. His entire early life, he had to stand into the man's shadow, never being able to reach up to his waist in terms of how well he was thought of. He was asked to be more like his father, and such reprimands made him angry. Which may have been why he transferred into the military - anger, or the need to surpass his father. You be the judge. He quickly gained the rank of sergeant with his superb skills as a sniper. All was well, until tragedy struck. An artillery shell fell almost directly on top of him, and no trace of him could be found. He somehow managed to leave the military, having been listed as Killed In Action by his superiors, who believed that no man could have survived that. They were wrong. Daniel quickly changed his name - it used to be Floyd Aretha - and began to manipulate society with the large amounts of money he was coming into, which he made through his life as a hitman. He manipulated society with an ease that was almost natural to him - Perhaps he could have been known as 'Hoodwink', had he not already chosen 'Deadshot' as his codename, but that was all past, now. It took him two years, but he climbed his way to the top of the financial and social hierarchy, although he hardly liked the company of the people he found there. He eventually became an important public figure, whose charming accent (British!) and willingness to help charity easily won the hearts of the 'little people'. Now, he did not just have a cover. He had an entire lifestyle, which payed for itself. Finally, he had eased out of his father's shadow - no, he had completely eclipsed it with his own. And now, he could live in the lap of luxury while doing what he loved to keep him there. Surely, he thought, this was paradise. And so far, Daniel has not been proven wrong.

Description of Costume: A long, black trenchcoat with tasteful black shoes, a black muscle shirt under it, and, continuing the color trend, black jeans. A brown leather belt winds around his waist. When wearing his 'costume', Deadshot is generally equipped with no less than four types of firearms, generally with at least one sniper rifle, a pistol or two, and an assault shotgun. When appearing publicly (for... y'know, speeches and such things), he wears a red, silver-embroidered lounge coat, under which is an absolutely spotless white shirt. This outfit is completed with a black tie and tan pants.

Public Knowledge of Identity: Daniel is publicly known as... Well, Daniel Cooper. He is a wealthy man who regularly contributes to the communities his mansions can be found in, as an incredibly efficient cover-up.

Amount of Time since Power acquisition: Assuming Daniel's power was first 'acquired' in the military, five years.

Morals and Ethics: Daniel - or rather, his alias - has almost no concept of morality or ethics. He completes his contracts, meeting whatever conditions set for him by his employer to the dot, and that is how it has been since he began making his living. The closest thing to a moral code that Deadshot possesses is his hatred of an unfair fight. Daniel employs the standard set of ethics important public figures are expected to have to keep their crowds happy.

Miscellaneous: Dislikes most wealthy people, as they generally do very little. Ever.

I will not be posting my villain here for I still want to use him as he is bad-ass. However, this post will be later filled with a custom Stealthkill character sheet when I get a more developed idea.

Well, I must admit I was waiting for quite a long time on this, as the story and idea is epic.
I'll recreate my character.

Name: Robert Morgan
Superhero Name: Evergreen.
Powers: Plant Control .
Age: 19
Way power was obtained: Exposed to Artificial waves.
History: Born into a rich family as an only child, he was spoiled and pampered rotten. He found it easy to make friends, especially in high school. He was about as stereotypical as a teenage boy could get. It was only after she found a dying squirrel in his front garden did he ever care for anything apart from himself. He took it in and tried to nurse it back to health. Despite his best efforts the animal died. He buried it in the garden and only then did she look at the grandeur of nature, The way the grass grew, and the birds flew. He had an entirely new aspect on life. He devoted his every hour looking after some sort of plant or animal. He stopped hanging out with his friends and sketched trees and animals. He found nature to be much more preferable to people, and He began to lose relations to her friends. His former friends were less than impressed. He had to make the choice between his friends or his obsession. It was a hard decision, but eventually his love for life won the day. He became incredibly unpopular as he became more and more obsessed. He did not take pride in his appearance and his uniform often went unwashed and his homework unfinished. Soon he decided that he would leave home, and live it rough in the country. Not long after he left an old man approached him. He offered to make him one with his element, normally he would have turned and ran but he followed the man. He was lead to a machine. He was placed in it and the machine was turned on. It was excruciating for what seemed like eternity and then it stopped. The door opened and he looked around, the old man had disappeared, He looked down to his pants to see that there was a piece of moss on his left leg. He pulled it off but within seconds it had grown back. He jumped back, he noticed that his the back of his hand was extremely green, he touched it and the color spread up his arm. Within moments it had engulfed his own body and what was left behind were leaves. Startled he ran back to his house. And spent the rest of the day hiding from his parents. When he had finally changed back into a human, his parents grilled him on where he had been. Providing no proper answer they sent him up to his room and grounded him for a week. In his haste to leave the house he had forgotten to water a flower in his room, It had started to wilt. He wanted to water it but his parents wouldn't let him out of the room. In their opinion, these ''bloody plants'' had been the cause of all the trouble, and he was left to sulk in his room. As he drifted off to sleep something strange happened. He dreamt that he was a giant tree, reaching towards the sky, growing higher and higher. He woke up at five in the morning. His eyes felt strange, He could see, but his eyes weren't open. He found he could not move, but could look in 360 degrees. His sight turned towards the wilted flower on the window sill. It was fully upright and looked healthy. How could this be? He thought to himself. But then he saw a thin root, leading from the flower pot. He followed it down to his bed up, and into his own body. He wanted to scream but he had no mouth. It slowly dawned on him what the old man had done. He had been transformed into a plant in the night, and had bonded with the plant. Most people would have panicked, but he was intrigued. He found that he could open the flower, as easily as flexing his fingers. He thought about the possibility of being a plant for the rest of his life. This made him panic and wish he was human again. With a flash he found he was back to normal, and the flower had started drooping again. He was thrilled yet terrified of his new powers. Only a small window stood between him and freedom. He imagined himself and a creeping root crawling out the window. Within no time he was creeping down the wall. It dawned on him that the tall walls with barbed wire may be too challenging to climb over. If one cannot go over.......... One must go under. He imagined himself as a yew tree, roots forcing through the concrete and under the wall. He was free and sprinted into the forest. He lived one year in the forest, saving hikers and tourists. Within no time he was contacted by the Defenders of Justice, and learned over the years how to control and manipulate plants, poisons and barbs, and how to blend parts of plant anatomy with his own. He know seeks out injustice towards man and nature, and brings it squealing into the light.
Description of Costume: A skin tight Dark and light green suit, he wears a head mask that covers his hair and mouth, it is dark and light green. On his wrists there are spiked gauntlets, the spikes are brown. He wears green sandals that wrap around up to his knees. He wears a long flowing cape. His insignia is a Dark green tree in a white circle.

Way in Which Power was Obtained: Enduring grueling and menial labour for days on end
Power: Extreme physical prowess, high endurance, tolerance for pain, superhuman strength

History: Born in England he shortly moved to Kenya with his father Jason Hunt at age 3. His father came to research the local wildlife and to meet old colleaugues. They lived in a small village near the city, Ralph was friends with many of the village children. 3 years later he and his friends were kidnapped and forced into labour camps, Ralph was the only one who surviveded and eventually escaped at age 21. He returned to his village afterwards to find it abandonned and destroyed by his captors. Inside the Elder's hut was a clawed-glove, cape, boots, and helmet. He vowed to use them to avenge his friends and family. Now he travels the world with the other super heroes, occasionaly ducking in and out for personal missions. He usually regards himself as good but he does not mind siding with evil forces to assist his revenge, if only for a short while.
